Event reminder for the Cast & Crew of The Sweet Science of Bruising with Malanda Theatre Company, to get people in the right shape and technique for Boxing on stage.
Tues – Fitness Circuits.
Wed – Boxing Technique.
Thurs – Fitness Circuits.
Fri, Sat & Sun – Boxing Technique – let Louise know.
We start off with skipping, then fitness circuits – everyone works out to their ability.
Then learning to Box for Self Defence, or Competition, or general knowledge; which is footwork and boxing technique, then optional sparring for those that have a few months of training. – we recommend everyone watch to learn.
We suggest that Boxing is 90% fitness and 10% technique, which go hand in hand.
There are people with all levels of ability, ages, races and genders at each session.
Boxing Training will build confidence, self-esteem, ability to defend themselves, self-discipline, respect for themselves and others. Teaches commitment, work ethic, social interaction and a healthy way of life.
What do I wear?
Comfortable clothing you can move in.
We suggest no makeup, as it usually runs down people’s faces with their sweat.
What do I need to bring?
Bring a towel and a water bottle.
We have boxing gloves, pads, bags, skipping ropes.
We train at Atherton High School in the Old Gym in B Block.
